For Spring Summer 2010 Lily and Lionel's love affair with travel continues, and designer Alice Stone's latest collection of exquisite scarves and accessories can trace their inspiration to the most remote corners of the world.


Highlights of the women's collection include the new City Scarf print featuring photographic cityscapes of London, Paris, Venice and New York in Lily and Lionel's superfine silk and wool mix. The Graphic Floral and Chain Scarf come in summer soft colours versus the Bright Turquoise Leopard and Italian Job II which feature bold and vivid prints.


The Lionel menswear collection embodies a savoir-faire style using tones of black and white with elements of unpredictability, luxurious textures and striking pieces. Effortless accessories take centre stage such as linen blended scarves and leather belts with contrast stitching. Lionel's collection doesn't compromise on style, offering transitional seasonal scarves in stripes, checks and herringbone.


This season sees Lily and Lionel's global debut, with Anthropology exclusively stocking the women's collection in the US whilst Bon Marche in France uniquely stocks the men's. New stores in London include the eponymous fashion group Whistles, luxury boutique Matches and Start, the cult East London store owned by Brix Smith-Start.

Each piece is beautifully crafted from the highest quality materials made by local artisans and sustainable processes.


Lily and Lionel is a story of heritage: a husband and wife based in London's East End, Lily worked in secret as a seamstress, spending evenings sewing elaborate, sumptuous creations for her family, whilst Lionel worked in clothing production supplying the leading British high street retailers after the first world war. They were also Alice's grandparents.


Alice Stone launched the collection and online boutique in November 2008 as a fruit of her fashion background, her globetrotter esprit and an uncommon willpower to conquer the accessories domain. Her scarves seduce with their timeless allure and unique prints, produced in a limited run for each design.
